Regarding Facebook
You may notice there are no links to Facebook. That’s because I actually don’t use Facebook. As an author writing about dystopian worlds and alien take-overs, Facebook has always seemed like a dangerous mechanism to me. Currently Facebook has over 1 billion users. 1/7th of the human population is using something that barely came into existence a decade ago. Something that has immense power in influencing our likes/dislikes, social etiquette, popular culture, and social circles. And that’s not even taking into account the usual privacy issues people criticize Facebook for. For these reasons, I cannot support Facebook.
